My Past Life

Ok, I wasn’t always a photographer. Fresh out of high school, I was just sure that I wanted to be a lawyer. So, I worked my way through college as a paralegal in various law firms. After more than a decade of dealing with the conflicts, injustice and nightmares from some of my extremely difficult cases, I decided to leave that life behind. I then became a full-time mom. Now that, in my humble opinion, is a worthwhile profession. However, kids grow up. Mine did, too. So, I found myself wondering what I should do with the rest of my life. After a number of years of trying out different things (interior design, real estate, etc.), I finally realized I should return to what I had always loved: photography and writing.

I am a published author and a full-time, professional photographer. It feels great to be pursuing my true passions in life. I have a wonderful and supportive husband and two great kids. What more could I possibly ask for?
